HOW TO RUN CPS CDs WITH THE NEW WINDOWS 10
After Windows 10 was released we found that the automatic starting of CDs (including our CPS course CDs) did not work. CPS complained to Microsoft and finally they have corrected the problem. If your Windows 10 has been updated by Microsoft’s automatic update system, then you can turn on AutoPlay so that programs on our CDs will start just by inserting the CD into the drive.
Start Control Panel. You can do this by asking Cortana to do so, or you can click on the Windows icon at the lower left corner of the screen or by pressing the Windows button on the bottom row of your Windows keyboard and selecting Control Panel.
There is now an option in Control Panel for AutoPlay as shown in this graphic.
Click on AutoPlay.
Scroll down to the heading, “Software and Games” as shown in the graphic below. Click the options box and select “install or run program from your media”. Click the box marked save.
Now, when you insert a program disk like those that accompany some of our courses, they will automatically run.
This need only be done once on a computer.
